ABJ Foundation climaxes 3rd Edition of the District Academic Excellence Awards— commences cheque disbursement

The Andy Bropleh Jallah Foundation, in partnership with Legal Communications Incorporated—Focal FM& TV, has concluded the 3rd Edition of the District 13 Academic Excellence Awards Program in sequence.

The District 13 Academic Excellence Award Program is an academic flagship scheme formulated and designed by the Andy Bropleh Jallah Foundation with a motive for fostering a tradition of academic excellence among school-going kids through constructive and sustained competition. The initiative also serves as a conduit of opportunities for students, thus gaining a sense of networking among others.

The program which was held under the Theme: “Accelerating the System Through Empowering Minds and Unveiling Brilliance”
brought together various groupings from the student community including local and national stakeholders, marking a pivotal moment in bid to nurture a culture of academic in Liberia.

The evaluation process reflects the previous formats utilized by the successive organizers brought together twelves duxes from various schools across the district. Following the conclusion of a rigorous and competitive evaluation pattern, Student Blessing J. Mbah (18) of the Joel Preparatory School System( located in the New Georgia Estate) surfaced as the supreme winner of the competition, with a cash prize of 50,000LD, while Ibukun Satuyi (18) of the famous Saint Michael Catholic finished as 1st runner-up with the cash prize of 30, 000 and Osuman Trawally (19) of Sekouba Ibrahim Sheriff School finished as 2nd runner-up with the cash prize of 15, 000. Participating students were certificated for their outstanding performance demonstrated during the testing process.

In a bid to incentivize other participants for their commitment to the process, a cash prize was of five thousand was given as an appreciation for being a part of the exercise.

On the sideline of the event, twelve participants were certificated from the district 13 first-ever child program while five are said to be admitted into the internship program following an independent evaluation process.

The maiden event aligns with the institution’s commitment to fostering and building an informed generation of enlightened media practitioners and journalists.

Remarking on the occasion through a proxy, (Gregphina C. Pah), the USA-based founder and CEO of the ABJ Foundation Mr. Andy Bropleh Jallah underscored the need for young people to continue to strive for excellence in their pathway of future career development.

Mr. Jallah reiterated his delight in working with young people, reechoing his permanent relationship to working with young people in a bid to harness human capital across the district, with plans to elevate this at the National level.

Meanwhile, the institution through its Department of Finance has initiated the cashing off of cheques, beginning with the ultimate winner. The institution says that this process intends to appreciate all valedictorians for their participation in the recently concluded process.

According to the Finance Department, the exercise will run up to next week in line with the cheque numbering stressing that all valedictorians should adhere to the announced protocol to ensure the smooth operation of the process.
